With approximately 4,000 hours invested in fabrication and construction, this 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer was built from the ground up to combine extreme performance, serious off-road capability, premium craftsmanship, and show-quality presentation.
At its core is a 1,050-horsepower, Whipple-supercharged 416ci LS, backed by heavy-duty axles, custom 4-link suspension, King coilovers, Wilwood braking, and an interior finished in premium Relicate leather.
The result is a truly one-of-a-kind K5 that looks every bit as impressive sitting still as it is under power.
1,050 HORSEPOWER
Power comes from a stroked 416ci (6.8L) LS built with a roller cam, H-beam connecting rods, forged crankshaft, and forged pistons.
A massive 3.0L Whipple supercharger feeds the LS through a Nick Williams 112mm throttle body, while a 10-rib Wegner Drive System completes the front accessory drive.
Cooling is handled by a Wizard Cooling radiator and intercooler combination, designed to support the demands of this high-output powerplant.
Custom high-temperature ceramic-coated headers flow into a full stainless-steel exhaust system with Kooks mufflers, giving the Blazer an exhaust note worthy of its four-digit horsepower output.
PURPOSE-BUILT SUSPENSION & DRIVETRAIN
This K5 was engineered to do far more than look good.
Up front is a 4-linked Dana 60 supported by King coilovers, crossover steering, a Borgeson steering box, and King steering stabilizer.
The rear utilizes a TMR-trussed full-float 14-bolt axle with a triangulated 4-link system and long-travel King coilovers.
The combination delivers the strength needed to handle serious horsepower while providing excellent articulation, stability, and an unmistakably aggressive stance.
WILWOOD BRAKING
A build with this level of performance requires equally serious braking capability.
A Wilwood Hydroboost braking system provides confident stopping power, while a Wilwood electric parking brake system adds modern functionality and reliability.
